TataIndicom have recently introduced prepaid plans for its Plug2Surf and vData card devices and looking at the plans my first impression was wow? price tariff of post paid with convenience of Prepaid. Its really cheap with per minute cost ranging from 21 paise to 26 paise in daytime and 10-14 paise in the night. I have been using postpaid from TataIndicom for last two years and now i am planning to switch to prepaid plan.
But here are some of the useful tips which i have considered and implemented before switching to Prepaid.
- Always remember that it is time based plan and not data based plan which is the usual case.
- First enable auto disconnect as follows:
Connect your Tata Indicom internet connection and click on internet icon in status bar which will bring window like this one:
Click on property and in Option tab look for “Ideal time before hang up” and select 1 minute in dropdown options ( as seen in yellow patch).
- Use applications or websites which continuously reloads every few seconds. Most common websites are Gmail, Google reader, Moneycontrol.com, Yahoo mail, RSS Applications.
This will let you disconnect your internet connection automatically even if you have forgotten it to disconnect and will save your precious internet minutes that comes bundeled with tata indicom prepaid plans.
