NEC has just announced that they have invented a new Blu Ray burner which will let you burn BluRay disk much faster thatn earlier. Till now all Blu Ray burners from NEC was supporting speed of 5X but now they have burner which can burn your Blurays upto 8X speed. Also they have combined a chip to make it much smaller and also consume less of energy. NEC said to press release that this is their effort to make BluRay technology leap forward and gain wide exceptability but at the same time they have not lost interest in traditional medias and you will still get cheaper and affordable optical drives without BluRay technology.
