As such WordPress may be new for many of my readers but i thought its worth mentioning here as whatever you are reading here is because of wordpress- most useful and handy blogging platform i have ever seen. Most importantly its open source so you do not require to pay anything plus it has dedicated development team which has released more than 20 wordpress update release so far. Its been just a few days when i upgraded to WordPress version 2.5.1 and we have already WordPress 2.6 Beta 2 in place. It is expected that the most exciting feature that is coming up is support for Google Gears.
Now you will ask me whats is Google Gears? To give you very short understanding it makes possible to have offline capability of a web application. So whatever i am writing right now is online but once i have WordPress 2.6, i will not have to be online for accessing many of the features of wordpress. Webware have just released post demonstrating Turbo button on administration page on WordPress.com.
I am still not sure what kind of features of WordPress will have google gear support but will be very handy for bloggers living in thierd world or developing world where internet connectivity is still a problem.
