Quick Update: Google talk on iPhone & iPod touch

Google has just come up with a new web based application for all our iPhone & iTouch fans who want to get maximum from their WiFi connectivity and stay in touch with their friend using Google talk. Yes, Google has just officially announced a new service that lets iPhone and iTouch users to login in into the Google Talk messenger using web based protocol. There is no need to any application for that.

You need to login to Google talk and keep your browser open till you want to be online. Your session will close when you will swith your application or will close the browser.

At the same time there is good news for all Firefox users as well. With the launch of Google talk web service for iPhone and iTouch it is also now possible to have the same nice interface in Firefox Sidebar. We have earlier seen how to use Google Docs, Google Reader and other google services in Firefox sidebar. We had earlier the gadget for Google talk that we were using for sidebar but now you no longer require it.
