Canon has quite a feww new models for US markets now and Canon Powershot SD970 IS ELPH is one of them. As such european markets have already seen it with different model name. Other similar model that has been introduced by Canon in USA is SD960 IS. Just to summarize quickly the features of the Canon Powershot SD970 IS , it comes with 12.1 Megapixel CCD, Optical image stabilization, 5X optical zoom lens, “Zoom Blur” feature, 270 shots per charge battery, 3-inch LCD with 461,000 pixels.
