I have been the great fan of Firefox for last couple of years but since he launch of Google Chrome, I have started using it more often than Firefox. I would definitely replace firefox but just because of lack of extensions in Chrome, i putting hold on it. Lately my Firefox 3 browser was taking a long pauce while startup and many a times it ended in hanged position. This seems to be the very common problem as i found out that many of the users have sought the solution of same on internet.
There are thousands of solution available on the net including pieces of codes, utilities and cleaner but none really works.
As per my experience, following two tricks have worked for me:
Solution 1: Clean the browser.
- Remove all unnecessary extensions and themes.
- Clean the bowser history and remove duplicate bookmarks from bookmark organizer.
- Make blank page as default.
- And all these should improve the speed of your browser.
Solution 2: Reinstall the Firefox 3
Uninstall all the traces of firefox from your PC and restart the computer & reinstall the fresh copy.
Make sure you take back up of your bookmarks and extensions using FEBE extension so that you do not loose your valuable information.
